Spring Show - 9 April 2016

Despite the mild winter causing our gardens to come into bloom much earlier this year, there was still an excellent array of daffodils, spring flowers, pot plants and vegetables on display for the many visitors to the Ickenham and Swakeleys Horticultural Spring Show that took place at Ickenham Village Hall on Saturday 9th April.

The many people who visited the Show throughout the afternoon were greeted with beautiful blooms alongside some amazing handicrafts and cookery and wine exhibits. There was also a photographic competition which boasted some amazing shots of the Autumn countryside as well as some glorious sunrises and sunsets.

The junior classes were also well supported with some very creative entries in horticulture, handicraft, cookery and photography. Our youngest junior entrant was Elisabeth Mountain who at 6 years old achieved 4 first places. It was also lovely to see a colourful display from Glebe Primary School who were able to show visitors their plans for their new gardens following the rebuilding of the School.

Certificates of merit were awarded as follows
